Come and See – Frequently Asked Questions

What is "Come and See"?

"Come and See" is a private invitation only event hosted at schools for pupils and parents/guardian. We provide free access to donated non-perishable food items, toiletries, brand-new clothing, and gifts. All thanks to our generous donation partners. The goal is to support families in need through a dignified and accessible way.

Where is the event held?

The event is hosted after school, Monday to Friday, typically in the school's main assembly hall.

How often does the event run?

The event can be held monthly, based on demand. Special occasions can also be accommodated with at least 6 weeks' advance notice.

How do we identify families in need?

We send out announcements, and families who are interested can express their need confidentially.

Do we receive training to host this event?

Yes! We provide free access to our online onboarding portal, which includes setup guidance and event-running tips.

Can I introduce another school to the programme?

Absolutely. Referring another school helps expand the reach and sustain the support within your wider community.

What if a pupil has no parents?

A guardian is welcome to attend on behalf of the pupil.

Please note: Event dates fill up quickly, and we must give notice to our donation partners, so early registration is encouraged.

Can parents choose what to take?

Yes. Every attendee will receive a response bag filled with essential items and a gift.

Who sponsors these events?

Our primary sponsor is RSBA1.online, our dedicated support division. They help fund events and connect parents with local supportive services.

Where have past events been held?

We've successfully hosted events at:

  • Banks

  • Academiess 

  • Recreation centres

How many events can a school hold?

Schools may host events monthly, with additional events available for special noccasions (with 6 weeks' notice).

Do you provide refreshments?

Yes, free refreshments are provided through our donation partners.

What happens to left over donations after the event? We collect it the same day and redistribute
